Matthew Curtis was called to the Bar in
2006 and completed his pupillage under the
supervision of Mr. Gordon Hennell. Matthew
read law at Keble College, Oxford and
completed the Bar Vocational Course at
Manchester Metropolitan University. He was
brought up and educated in North Wales.
Matthew has a mixed common law practice with
a growing reputation in criminal defence. He
regularly appears in the Crown Court for the
prosecution and defence and also takes
instructions for Magistrates Court work.
Matthews practice incorporates all aspects
of civil litigation in the county courts
including non-molestation and harassment
claims. Matthew has a particular interest in
housing and landlord and tenant cases in the
civil and criminal jurisdictions.
Outside law, Matthews main interest is his
family (he has two very young children).
When time permits his other interests
include politics, cooking and watching live
comedy.
