Matthew Curtis

Matthew Curtis was called to the Bar in 2006 and completed his pupillage under the supervision of Mr. Gordon Hennell. Matthew read law at Keble College, Oxford and completed the Bar Vocational Course at Manchester Metropolitan University. He was brought up and educated in North Wales.

Matthew has a mixed common law practice with a growing reputation in criminal defence. He regularly appears in the Crown Court for the prosecution and defence and also takes instructions for Magistrates Court work. Matthews practice incorporates all aspects of civil litigation in the county courts including non-molestation and harassment claims. Matthew has a particular interest in housing and landlord and tenant cases in the civil and criminal jurisdictions.

Outside law, Matthews main interest is his family (he has two very young children). When time permits his other interests include politics, cooking and watching live comedy.
