Gordon was called to the bar in 1982 and began his career in Manchester before joining Nicholas Street Chambers.
Gordon is a highly experienced criminal law specialist with expertise in both prosecuting and defending all types of serious crime including murder,grevious bodily harm.robbery,kidnap,fraud,drugs importation and rape.
Gordon has appeared in a number of notable cases including;
R v Bebbington and others (reported with Boness(2006) 1Cr.App.R. (S) 120,CA.) representing ten appellants in the leading case on the necessity for and the ambit of A.S.B.O's.
MacDougal (2006) (Chester Crown Court/Court of Appeal) Unlawful act Arson,Manslaughter defence with Peter Wright Q.C.
Majola (2008) (Warrington Crown Court) racially sensitive murder,prosecuting as a leading junior.
Gordon has been a pupil supervisor in recent years to Sarah Badrawy and Matthew Curtis and his outside chambers interests include English football,Welsh castles and Bob Dylan. |
