AIDAN MCGIVERN

Aidan is a former Solicitor-Advocate with over 20 years’ experience in Family Law.  He ran his own law firm specialising in Family Law - in particular care proceedings.

Aidan has extensive and lengthy experience representing both parents and children (via Guardians) in care proceedings and became a member of the Law Society’s children panel in 1993.

From 2005 to date Aidan has worked independently undertaking agency family work for private practices and numerous assignments for local authorities as a child protection lawyer. These include Birmingham City Council, Worcestershire County Council, Gloucestershire County Council, South Gloucestershire Council and Cardiff County Council.  The work included case management and representation in the Family Proceedings Court, County Court and the High Court.

Chambers feel that Aidan will strengthen our current Family Team, particularly with regard to his previous experience in care proceedings.
